$20 and BYOF (Bring Your Own Friend) $10 more!
(Fundraiser for Hawaii Healing Garden Festival)
We will move through playful sequences of partner-assisted poses where one helps the other, and double yoga poses where each reflects the other in dynamic and balanced symmetries.
These classes are for all levels. The only prerequisite is the ability to giggle and have fun.
Find a new Yoga Friend or Bring a Buddy
Bring a friend, spouse, fitness buddy, teenage kid, romantic partner.
Or come solo and we'll pair you up to meet someone new.
Partner Yoga helps to deepen and increase the stretch and impact of a yoga posture, without any pain. One partners body weight can be used to increase the pressure of the other partner.
Working (and Playing) together with another presence while supporting each other can help build trust and communication.
Yoga Reflection: In the texts of yoga philosophy there is a concept called Vimarsha which translates as Divine Reflection. Sometimes to see our full potential more clearly, it helps to have it reflected through the eyes of another. Your partner serves you like a mirror, to help you with proper alignment, balance and concentration. At the same time there is a level of playfulness, fun and laughter as we find trust and support.
Be willing to stretch your imagination and your body will follow.
The poses are not difficult. Beginners are welcome.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Katherine Fisher is the co-founder of Hawaii Health Guide.com and Aloha Yoga and is a Yoga teacher certified in Raj yoga at Mt. Madonna with Baba Hari Dass in 1998.
