Pele is showing off her stuff on the Big Island again. Volcano House  in Volcano National Park is closed down for repairs and the famous fireplace is unlit, but Halema'uam'u crater right outside the lodge is glowing red and smoking away.

Kalapana, is back on evacuation alert as new lava tongues lap down the access road and recently covered the intersection of Highways 130 and 137. The  previous lava viewing area is now under a new flow.
