Nella Media Group has introduced the first ever coupon book and resource guide for sustainable living in Hawai‘i entitled The Honu Guide. The HonuGuide is Hawai’i's first and only green fund‐raising option and 5% of all proceeds are donated to local non‐profits.

“We want to make Hawai‘i more sustainable. We envision a healthy and sustainable future for Hawai‘i, where individuals and organizations work in creative and synergistic relationships to offer simple solutions to environmental, economic, and community issues,” stated Mongan. Mongan, who has spent the last 10 years studying and applying sustainable living concepts, began his career as an intern at Guidestone Farm & Center for Sustainable Living in Loveland, CO. He studied environmental ethics, medical ethics, and business ethics as a graduate student in philosophy at the University of Tennessee and spent two years in naturopathic medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine exploring the concept of ecologically sustainable medicine. He is currently studying Chinese medicine and working for the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology at Moku O Lo‘e (coconut island), where he is researching the impact of global warming on coral reefs.

Co‐founder and sister to Tyler, Tarolyn Mongan Robinson, has over 10 years of sales and business experience and has worked in the medical and technology
industries, as well as owning her own business. “We believe fund‐ raising should be educational and valuable and should support the local community, local economy, and local environment,” stated Robinson.

Co‐founder and partner of the Honu Guide, Jason Cutinella, feels that th book offers a simple, fun, and creative way to raise funds for local schools or nprofit organization. “What we are trying to accomplish with The Honu Guide is simple. We want to promote sustainability and green living while helping out fundraising and non‐profits in the process. It’s a win‐win situation for all of us as a community,” stated Cutinella. Cutinella is the founder of Nella Media Group, a specialty media company that focuses on action sports and sustainable goods with expertise in all aspects of media planning and marketing.

Hawaii Health Guide is one of the founding sponsors along with Nella Media Group. "We're excited to sponsor the Honu Guide resource." said Michael Saiz development director of Hawaii Health Guide.
