<br><br>All leis become the property of Hawaii Health Guide and will be sold at a silent auction on June 21 at the Kauai Healing Garden at Malama Kauai as a fundraiser for the  Health & Wellness Scholarship Fund.

The four categories are
1. Edible Lei
2. Medicinal Lei,
3. Aromatherapy Lei
4. Recycled materials Lei

1. Edible Lei must be 100% edible and must include a list of all plant materials used (no paper, no candy please) Extra points for organic!

2. Medicinal Lei must be made from plants that have known medicinal or health benefits. Please list all plants used and their healing properties (cultural uses)

3. Aromatherapy Lei will be judged on the fragrant and aromatic quality . Include a list of the flowers and leaves selected.

4. Recycled Material: Be kind to the "aina. Made of found or recycled objects.

Leis must be received at Kauai Healing Garden at Malama Kauai   by 10:00 and will be on display until 3:00. Judging will take place at 11:30 and prizes awarded between 12:00-1:00. Silent Auction closes at 3:00, and leis must be picked up by 4:00.

The Hawaii Healing Garden is a celebration of Multi Cultural Medicinal and Nutritional Plants that grow in Hawaii being held across the state. The Healing Garden starts with a festival, speakers, performances, and a health expo at Malama Kauai on June 21 and contiues on Sunday June 22 with a full day of  speakers, workshops at the Old Guava Kai Plantation in Kileaua.

The Healing Garden Festival is free to the public and includes  Health Expo and all lectures and activities. The Summer Solstice concert featuring Paula Fuga, Cindy Combs, Millicent Cummings and Aloha Africa  is also free. Although VIP tickets are available for front row seats. 

Come and enjoy  food booths, cooking demonstrations, bamboo nose flutes, medicinal plant tours and lectures, and lau' lapa 'au teachers.
