Bikram Yoga
The Bikram Yoga series is a set of 26 yoga poses including two pranayama exercises, each of which is performed twice in the duration of 90 minutes. Hot yoga is a series of yoga poses done in a heated room which is usually maintained at a temperature of 105°F with 40% humidity, so muscles warm up quickly and stretch more easily. Bikram yoga is a system of wellness, restoration and rejuvenation of the body balance. You'll be hooked!

The Kauai Marathon

All of these features and more will be seen from a runner’s eye view during the 2nd Annual Kauai Marathon on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Kauai’s tropical paradise is the backdrop for this world class event, which will not only lead runners through one of the world’s most beautiful marathon courses, but will donate net proceeds to local charities. Both the marathon and half marathon are very scenic and are certified by USATF and AIMS.

Mayor's Remembrance Walk
The public is invited to participate in the fifth annual Mayor’s remembrance Walk on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The walk is being held in observance of the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America and to recognize the first-responders and members of the armed forces. The walk will cover the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center and part of Kakaako and will include brief ceremonies and wreath presentations at the HPD headquarters, HFD headquarters, and the formal program at Honolulu Hale. The walk begins at HPD’s Alapai headquarters on 801 South Beretania Street.
